Joseph A. Zagajeski

Since joining DSI in 2014, Mr. Zagajeski has been involved in numerous bankruptcy and insolvency matters in and out of court. Mr. Zagajeski’s experience includes advising and assisting trustees in significant Chapter 7 and 11 cases, providing services in forensic accounting and expert witness/report matters, and involvement in numerous engagements as financial advisor to debtors, trustees and committees. Mr. Zagajeski is certified as a Cryptocurrency Forensic Investigator and has provided forensic services in tracking and tracing of cryptocurrency. Additionally, Mr. Zagajeski has been involved in Receiverships and Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors focused on startup wind downs.

Mr. Zagajeski is currently a board member of the California Receivers Forum and TMA NorCal, as well as the former President of the Bay Area Receivers Forum. He is a Certified Cryptocurrency Forensic Investigator and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Prior to joining DSI, Mr. Zagajeski gained a variety of finance and accounting experience in several industries including financial services, food manufacturing, logistics and international trade. Mr. Zagajeski’s prior work experience includes financial statement analysis, cost and pricing analysis, process improvements and full cycle accounting. His financial service industry experience includes working as a licensed Series 3 commodity broker and a fund accountant focused on hedge funds.
